' What Difference At This Point Does it Make?

I remember not long ago when most clergy had a difficult time marrying two people not the same religion. Even at the local reform synagogue JUST 20 YEARS AGO, the Rabbi refused to marry two people not of the the Jewish faith. That was a big deal , and most clergy within the Catholic Religion and Jewish religion REFUSED to marry two people of different religions just 20 years ago. Imagine asking them to marry two people of not only differing religions but of the same sex. Only twenty years ago that would have had priests and rabbis fainting in the streets. But 2015 is a different day. People are smoking marijuana legally in some states. One third of the potential work force is NOT working but living off the government doe, including welfare, food stamps and disabillity.

Flash forward 20 years and now it's about marrying people of the same sex. My question is 'What is Marriage?' I thought marriage was ONLY about marrying opposite sexes with the idea of giving birth to children and raising them, preferably of the same religion.

Now, we've lost not only the religious part but the sex part of it. I'm wondering what is next? Just like the South losing their confederate flag, which means so much more than race. Next thing you know the American flag will be a thing of the past (which it is already in some places) just as the Pledge of Allegiance has been banished by most schools and institutions.

It's nice to be 'open' and try to be free and fair and all but it's getting to the point we're throwing all rituals and rules out the door. There won't be anything left to live for except self greed. It will be totally 'Do Your Own Thing' Sodom and Gemorah regardless...

At this point, if you're going to let two people of opposite sex, opposite religions marry why not open that up to people marrying their pets? As divorce is up, Many today love their pets more than they do humans?

If you're going to start making radical changes why not go all the way and make everyone happy? At this point What difference does it make, as that great philosopher Hillary Clinton once said after hanging up on a phone call that could have saved the lives of four soldiers about to be killed in Libya. .

On the other hand, why even bother having marriage? Just keep giving everyone person personal benefits, as we're seeing already by the latest American administration. Why bother with marriage credits? Just give the individual whatever he or she wants, whether it be food stamps, welfare, marijuana - which is already happening anyway. Marriage is way down,anyway. One hundred million or a third of the population is no longer in the work force - more than ever before. People are more sedentary and fatter than ever . Robots are taking over and people seem to be - happily - turning to mush before our eyes, getting pretty much whatever they want.

With all the good stuff why even worry about being married. You don't need it anymore. You're getting all the bennies already. Not where's my Doggie?

No Pandering to Donors, Big Business

He may have been a laughing stock last election and then added insult to injury by quickly dropping out of the Presidential race. But, now, in 2016, Donald Trump, who offers many advantages over other candidates.

Last week names like Scott Walker, Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush were leading the polls on the Republican side among the large slate of candidates. Then there was the 'trade bill' vote in which the above mentioned seemed to take the expediant path, bowing to big business/corporate interest that pays for much of their election costs. We saw Marco Rubio in bed with big sponsor Oracle. Few candidates can afford NOT to take such sides.

However, it's refreshing when a candidate can truly move to his own beat. Yes, Trump is very rich, as we learned from his financial report, but maybe that's not such a bad thing. Thereby he (or she) doesn't have to pander to donors, lobbyists and special interests - and corporate sponsors. You're unlikely to see Trump flip-flopping on issues with the wind, as we're seeing in so many others.

So, we say, so far so good for Trump. Without going in to specific issues at this point,we'll just say 'so far so good.' We know he's a business man and is for the interests of his fellow business people, and NOT supporting overseas trade when we have people here in need of jobs. He says we need change 'NOW' and he's right as America appears in shambles on both domestic and foreign fronts.

Hopefully, Trump will stay in the race this time and we'll see him continue to put forth a strong , independent message - probably the closest to do that since Regan or billionaire Ross Perot, without all the baggage . If anything, perhaps Trump is TOO honest, even going after top Republican pundits George Will and Krauthammer.

If not, there are a few others who seem to being more independent and bucking the politics. Those would be Dr. Carson and perhaps Rand Paul and even Mike Huckabee. Possibly Ted Cruz. But, we need to do a little more research here.

Most of these candidates are so insulated they won't even appear on their own party's TV and radio programs. Trump's not afraid to appear on any and all.The more the merrier.

This may sound strange to people, at first, but think about it...

Society has programmed us where we should be at a given age.

Do not put 'restrictions' and pigeon-hole someone based on someone's age

just as you don't want others to do that to you

2. Don't Be Defensive About Your Age

Don't say things like 'I'm Dating Myself' or other put-downs based on age

which our youth-oriented society has almost subliminally programmed us to do.

3. Don't Celebrate Birthdays (as in numbers)

Instead of celebrating a number, which increases every year, why not, instead, celebrate your favorite things and your accomplishments? You can still celebrate, but don't put the emphasis on that number but, rather, the important things of your life.

Think back to your favorite times of your past. You can live and celebrate those, again!

That trip you took when you were 35... that favorite, forgotten restaurant you used to go to -

or something as simple as re-visiting an old favorite place, friend or something you haven't revisited for years! Most things you can still do. We're not telling you to live in the past but to do those things that you most enjoy. LIVE YOUR BEST DAYS AGAIN and AGAIN.

4. Live As Eternal

STOP saying your age

STOP celebrating your chronological number

STOP holding onto grudges and negative thoughts

START celebrating what you have accomplished!

Why is it that other MIDDLE EAST leaders IN Egypt and Jordan will speak out against Muslim terrorists in their own largely Muslim countries but our leader won't utter the words 'Muslim terrorists'? Futher, the Jordanians plan a major action in reponse to latest beheading while Obama says he is going to review video to see if beheading is for real and DELAY, DELAY, DELAY like everything else. Meanwhile, Hillary wants to empathize with the killers. How much longer will and can these beheadings and killings go on. Even before they reach America, they should be STOPPED NOW ala 1943 when FDR took his time and not for Churchill the Nazis were finally stopped but not after 100 million were dead!

After now SEVEN beheadings, ONE brutal burning and hundreds of thousands killed at the hands of Islam around the world, when will a world leader step forward? That leader would be Obama as he is the only one in position to do such. We're seeing smaller countries take real stands but without the power or military to really do anything. Only the U.S. is in a position to act on a large scale but Obama continues to refuse to allow 'boots on the ground' let alone admit to 'muslim terrorists'.

As usual with Obama, it's DELAY. Meanwhile, it's said the Iran is now only about two months away from having a real nuclear threat that could reach the U.S. Meanwhile, the U.S. continues to try to reason with unreasonable Iran and soft peddle other terrorism. Obama says he's more concerned about 'Climate Change' than he is terrorism, calling climate change the most serious problem facing America (recent state of union speech) .

Meanwhile, are we getting desensitized to beheadings? Not since World War II have we witnessed such torturous acts as we're seeing done Western nations and their citizens. Seven beheadings, now one torturous burning and hundreds of thousands of civilian killings in countries from Syria to Boko Haram. (Don't forget the 3,000 Americans killed on our home turf on '9-11' - it seems many of us have.) After World War II they said it would never happen again. They said we learned from World War II. Meanwhile, Obama keeps making speeches while the killings continue, ' . And, they're not going to stop on their own. If Obama isn't going to do anything, our Senators and Congressmen must speak out NOW. So far, we have only heard from Lindsay Graham as of 2-3-15, and that may be part of his strategy in running for President .

Former U.S. Military Leaders tell us that current U.S. 'strategy' telegraphed air strikes -ONLY is not working. We're treading water, maybe even going backwards while letting the enemy know we're not going to do anything more than we're doing. IT IS PAST TIME TO ACT!

Leaders and citizens must DEMAND:
1) Finally, Closing our borders
2) Adding 'Boots on the Ground' against Isis
3) Using our best bombers as necessary

It’s time for a new Speaker of the House.

John Boehner has been Speaker of the House for four years. And in those four years he has betrayed conservatives and cut backroom deals to give President Obama exactly what he wants.

We can’t accept a Speaker of the House who continually surrenders to Obama’s radical agenda.

Now is the chance for Republicans to elect a principled leader - a leader who will stand up to Obama and the progressives.

It will only take 29 votes to oust John Boehner as Speaker of the House of Representatives and 8 votes are already solidly in the fold.

Texas Representative LOUIE GOHMERT has already offered to run against Bohener as has Ted Yoho(sp)

Boehner has had his time and done nothing to deserve another term, especially after the country gave a referendum vote in the recent election. Boehner has not seized the opportunity.

Six other House Republicans are on record against Boehner. They are Paul Gosar (Arizona), Thomas Massie (Kentucky), Marlin Stutzman (Indiana), Walter Jones (North Carolina), Dave Brat (Virginia) and Steve King (Iowa).

"We need a speaker who will help us all keep our oath, including his own, to the Constitution, not one who has consistently blocked our efforts to keep ours. I will vote for an alternative candidate for speaker. I can’t vote for John Boehner again," King said in a Sunday op-ed.

Lawmakers are set to vote by roll call vote when the 114th Congress convenes Tuesday.
