OBAMA PHONE - OBAMA GIVES

AWAY FREE PHONES, costing

taxpayers big

And now with the election right upon us, leave it to Obama to find another way to woo voters - by giving away free phones to his market of low income people.

Though “the Obama Phone” has been around for a while, today it has just gotten viral-attention as a pre-election talking point.
“The Obama Phone” is a free phone from yet another President Barack Obama government program that gives to the financially-needy via the United States taxpayers’ money. The program alleges that communication should not only be for those people who can afford it.
Prior to Obama’s becoming-publicized free phone, there has been another program in the past – The Lifeline Program – which gave financial assistance for low-income families to afford land lines. According to persons who have engaged in the newer Obama cell phone program, the newer program actually gives them a cell phone with an allotted number of minutes per month.

Executive Summary (Scribd.com) News that the poverty rate has risen to 15.1 percent of Americans, the highest level in nearly a decade, has set off a predictable round of calls for increased government spending on social welfare programs. Yet this year the federal government will spend more than $668 billion on at least 126 different programs to fight poverty. And that does not even begin to count welfare spending by state and local governments, which adds $284 billion to that figure. In total, the United States spends nearly $1 trillion every year to fight poverty. That amounts to $20,610 for every poor person in America, or $61,830 perpoor family of three.
Since President Obama took office, federal welfare spending has increased by 41 percent, more than $193 billion per year.(Nearly $500 billion total in welfare this year.) Despite this government largess, more than 46 million Americans continue to live in poverty. Despite nearly $15 trillion in total welfare spending since Lyndon Johnson declared war on poverty in 1964, the poverty rate is perilously close to where we began more than 40 years ago.

Clearly we are doing something wrong. Throwing money at the problem has neither reduced poverty nor made the poor self sufficient. It is time to reevaluate our approach to fighting poverty. We should focus less on making poverty more comfortable and more on creating the prosperity that will get people out of poverty.

TEN REASONS NOT TO VOTE FOR OBAMA- Obama Tshirts, Stickers

OBAMA MISSED OVER HALF OF INTELLIGENCE BRIEFINGS, Obama Tshirts, Stickers
more @ http://www.posterpalooza.info

I don't usually get too political or even watch much news but I've had a little extra time being with Dad and couldn't believe all the sad, crazy stuff going on just the past month....i.e.
1)OBAMA DOESN'T RECALL MATIONAL DEBT NUMBER($16 TRILLION) - on a recent (9/12) David Letterman visit failed to answer Letterman's surprising (for him) question as to the current national debt. Either Obama is pretty ignorant or more likely he just didn't want to mention the $16 trillion figure (which is nearly double what it was when he took office) by saying he 'didn't remember the exact number precisely.' On the other hand, as Eric Wemple points out, maybe the debt's been going up so fast he CAN'T remember!

  2) OBAMA MISSED OVER HALF OF INTELLIGENCE BRIEFINGS - It was reported in the news recently that Obama only attended 43% of intelligence briefings with CIA and committee members. Say what you will about George W. Bush, he never or rarely missed a meeting, according to Gov. John Sununu, who was a member of said committee under Bush and couldn't recall him ever missing one. Perhaps if Obama had attended more we would have had better security in Libya, Egypgt and other embassies to avoid the recent bloodshed.

  3) 9/11/12 KILLING and LIKELY TORTURE OF US AMBASSADOR STEVENS by extremists and killing of three other Americans in team 1, after apparent missed intelligence on 9/11 of all days! Official administrationrationoale ( Youtube anti-Muslim video) was later changed to the cortrect terriorist explanation.

4)THE OBAMA ADMIN. AIDING EGYPT(which Obama even admits is no longer a 'friendly' country) to the tune of $1 1/2 billion while its 'Muslim Brotherhood' follower sprotest the U.S. , ostensibly as a protest of some anti-Muslim youtube film made by some hack;the real reason is most likely the 9/11 anniversary but the US 'apologizes' (Hillary Clinton) for the insensitve movie the govt. had nothing to do with, nonetheless,

5)OBAMA NOT WANTING TO MEET WITH PRIME MINISTER NETANYAHU at UN summit, claiming he'd be 'out of town' but someone else would meet him,(first time ever an Israeli Prime Minister would not be met by the sitting US President),

6)earlier, the US (Democrats) removing 'Jeruslem' and 'God' from the Democratic party platform at the DNC and only after protests from both sides awkwardly putting them back in after a 'staged' three time vote

  7) Obama makes a tepid denunciation of the terrorist killing and torture of our ambassador to Libya (from nearby Piedmont, CA) and klling of three others the latter (largely forgotten by the press) after first issuing a statement apologizing for the US's religious intolerance! The killing of the Libyan ambassador was an act of war and without better security or real plans of preventative action by the US this sort of thing will continue. Instead of Obama/govt saying the purpetrator will be 'brought to justice' why not make sure the Libyan govenrnment and others better securethe US consulates / embassies in the future. Especially on the anniversary of 9/11 you'd think there would have been better security called for by both Libya and the US The US is now down to one real friend in the ever crucial middle East and we're in danger of losing Israel as Obama tries to appease both Jews andMuslims. Sometimes you can't do both, especially in times like this. Right nowIsrael needs a strong voice and help from a friend - and the US needs Israeli in the Middle East! On the local (US) front there's a lot more sad, crazy stuff - here are just two examples: - Are you aware that 4x (FOUR TIMES) as many people are leaving the labor force (196,000just last month per US Labor Statistics) as arejoining it? So, yes, technically unemployment may have been down a bit in August but that's not including the numbers of those leaving the labor force.

  8) The OBAMA ADMIN, RAISED THE FOOD STAMP PROGRAM BY 46% or 46 million people and expanding welfare by 20% with longer deadlines - average person now goes 27 months without working- which only gives people another a reason NOT to look for work - thus the 196,000 who stopped looking for work in August, not to mention the burden on on the economy while we give away millions to perpetrators in the mid East. No wonder so many more people actually believe they're better off now than when obama took office four years ago, what with all these increased handouts. Welfare and food stampsare fine IF they really lead back to work. But now they're only adding to a worseningenconomyy in ways that aren't reported, and yes, Obama is benefitting in his election bid with newfound admirers, happy to attain the new gifts.

9) OBAMA WIPED OUT NASA SPACE PROGRAM with the stroke of a pen. HOpe you enjoyed ENDEAVOR's last hurrah, recently, because you won't see any more space shots, trips to the moon or Mars as long s Obama is in office.

  10) 'CHANGES TO GOVERNMENT CAN'T BE MADE FROM THE INSIDE,' declared Obama in a recent statement. Maybe under Obama this is true and a sad fact because that closes the door on 50% of possible change and if he can't do it from the outside , as it appears he can't, we're really in trouble I think it's important to look beyond what we see and hear in the media for possibleulterior motives, especially in this election year, ie the Libyan killing was NOT likelybecause of some independent little video but a well-planned execution aimed at the 9/11/12 anniversary. And I'm not really a Romney supporter either, but if this kind of stuff continues... I don't know.

I heard a self-acknowledged black conservative ono the radio today (9/20) who really brought clarity to me for the first time. He noted how the Obama administration basically acquires and keeps it's heavy minority and poor followers by giving them what they want, ie food stamps, welfare, etc , especially when it comes to election time. Food stamps, welfare, etc. equates to votes. The sudden new monthly bailouts, coming right before the election are no doubt intended to give a quick shot to the economy in hopes of (artificially) raising the economy just before the election FOR VOTES!.

You don't hear Obama saying much about self-sufficiency any more, ie we can't expect to build businesses, get jobs, etc. without the help of the government! Think about it! So, too many things to ignore here -- and within such a short period - and time to really be concerned and speak out, in my opinion, or we could not only lose Israel but our country quicker and easier than you might ever believe. It's easy to become jaded these days and not take seriously the killing of our localbrethren like Chris Stephens and overlook even more serious threats to Israel and ourselves, only minutes away from happening.

I don't usually get too political or even watch much news but I've had a little extra time being with Dad and couldn't believe all the sad, crazy stuff going on the last few days during and prior to 9/11 ,or, is it just me? ...i.e.

...and before we could finish this we just learn that

- the US Admin will be printing 40 million dollars a month to purportedly help people buy houses. Haven't we heard this story before... and just in time for the election...to boost Obama's chances...

0) Killing and probable torture by extremests in Libya or Libyan ambassador Chrsit Stevens and kiilling of three other Americans in team on 9/11, despite apparent missed intelligence prior 48 hours

Obama - Are You Really Better Off? Real  Jobless Decline or Increase?

How Obama Parses Words

Yes, 96,000 American jobs were added in August, which Obama admin appraises
as a drop in unemployment, but when one figures in the 368,000
who stopped looking for work , the unemployment rate really rises to 8.4%
, according
to the US Bureau of Labor Statistic and Daily Mail. Most, mainstream media, like the
Obama administration has not reported the full facts.

The 69.9 per cent labor force participation rate for men is at lowest level recorded
since the US government began tracking it in 1948
According to James Pethokoukis of the American Enterprise Institute, the unemployment
rate would be 11.2 per cent if the labour force participation rate had remained what it
was when Obama took office in January 2009. The U.S. Labour Department also said that
41,000 fewer jobs were created in June and July than previously reported.

President Barack Obama was made aware of the figures before he took the stage to deliver
his prime-time address at the Democratic convention on Thursday night, which
could account for his sometimes grim demeanour as he spoke, according to Daily Mail
Obama's address came at Democratic Convention thrusday, Sept 6, which was switched from a
74,000-seater stadium to a 20,000-seater arena
ostensibly because of the weather but amid indications there were problems filling seats,
brought the three-day democratic convention to a close.

A 'phantom' roll call early in Thursday's proceedings to put back 'God' and pro-Israel sentiment
in the protocol after political pressure, took three votes, all of which appeared to show
anti-God sentiment in the majority - not the two-thirds 'pro-go ' majority needed.
Yet, it was, obviously , predetermined to keep
God in the platform as an immediate affirmative or God was finally given
after the third voting. A hail of boos followed the change.
President Obama, seeking to quell criticism from Republicans and pro-Israel groups,  directed his party to restore language declaring Jerusalem Israel’s capital:

Stalling: The growth of new jobs has taken a significant dip compared to the beginning of the year
Hourly pay fell

386,ooo dropped out of labor force,
meaning 96,000 fewer working is meaningingless

96 mill men working is the lowest since 1948

23 months in a row with unemployment above 8 %.
Remember admin promised that if we passed stimulus bill
unemployment would be in the 5%
23 mil underemployed
when you add in those who ga e up, it would be 14%
= 14% of people not working

Obama and media only tell you that the unemployment is down
without looking at these other important factors...

Mota, Testosterone, San Francisco Giants - Sabean Makes More Excuses

 Road NOT To Success

Mota, Testosterone, San Francisco Giants - Sabean Makes More Excuses

The Chronicle reached Giants general manager Brian Sabean by phone a few minutes ago, and he offered this explanation on the team’s decision to activate reliever Guillermo Mota after a second drug suspension term, 8/31/12, SFGate, com:

“Our organization, before MLB was doing anything, before baseball even tested, we tested in the minor leagues. We strictly adhere to the program. We feel the program is a good one, and it’s working. Whether there will be changes made, that’s not for me to say because of collective bargaining. The long and short of it is, the club has no right to impugn anyone any more. You have to go case by case. We’re aware of Mota’s case inside and out, and we feel it was an honest mistake.” On any concerns about the perception of the Giants, given Melky Cabrera’s recent suspension for testosterone use:

“We’re always concerned about our brand, about how you’re perceived. But we’ve done nothing wrong. The player has done something wrong, faced the music, and under the policy of Major League Baseball we don’t have the right to shut him out. We don’t have the right to further sanction him.”

But, Brian, you do have the responsiblity to bring in players NOT suspected -OR CONVICTED- of  illegal drug use  and especially NOT  two time convicted ones.  To say that Mota made an 'honest mistake' is laughable....NOT READING THE COUGH MEDICINE LABEL!  That's even worse than Bond's 'flaxseed oil' excuse because not only Mota is saying the testosterone was in cough medicine but he also said he didn't read the label. Then, on top of that, it's his SECOND CONVICTION! Come on Brian! Fool be once...

Is it shear coincidence that during your reign you've brought in 10 convicted users and a number more of suspected ones. No other team has brought in more than   two, and usually made a point to carefully check them out after that or not bring them back after a second drug suspension (the Dodgers with Manny Ramirez a rare exception, done by the previous administration ).  The A's had little use for him and didn't make it past spring training. . Why do you think Mota and other suspected guys clear waivers? Other teams have the decency not to mess with them, even if it would mean (illegally) helping their team

.

Bringing in Jose Guillen , alone, gave you several game winning hits, enough to cover the one game finish over San Diego. This year,  recently-banned Melky Cabrera probably meant another 5-10 wins in the time he was here.  And now two time convicted user, Mota , is back , not to mention several other suspected users.  As Arizona manager Kirk Gibson points out, it's not fair to the other (abiding) teams to knowingly acquire such players. (Sorry , Brian, but other teams knew better and so you got a real deal for both Cabrera and  Mota.  No due dilligence here.  These and other players you go after had dramatic spikes in their stats, were malcontents with prior teams (when a player plays on four different teams in four years you must wonder, too). Nuff evidence. Nuff said. Stop it now or finally step in Stupid Selig.

PEFORMANCE  ENHANCING SUPPLEMENTS - Mota: Giants Continue to Thrive , Get  Away with Drug-enhanced Players

Giants Welcoming back Two Time Offender Mota Must Make Purists Wonder about Giants, Baseball Today
In light of the SF Giants reactivating Guillermo 'I did not read the label on the cough medicine'  Mota following his second drug violation and 100 game suspension, baseball purists must question how the Giants can get away or have the balls to keep taking on known drug users or reputed ones. And they're winning, why of course, with players other teams respectfully turned away. Meanwhile the Giants continue to win and affect other teams' chances, eg Arizona Dbacks,  with tainted players while baseball turns it's head (with rare exception, ieKirk Gibson).
It's true that the average modern baseball fan is not as concerned with such infractions if a player is entertaining him . Witness Barry Bonds' 10 year steoriod career when the Giants and fans totally supported their meal ticket while getting rid of players and management that didnb't subscribe to the idea, eg best natural team player Jeff Kent and team head Bill Neucomb.

Giants management claims ignorance when acquiring these tainted players, believing that MLB should do the screening.  If other teams let such players as Cabrera get away for a player like Jonahtan Sanchez one has to know something is going on; then, looking at the numbers and finding Cabrera's sudden resurgence really says something. So much for due dilligence on the part of GM Sabean. Meanwhile the Jints are winning with these players other teams had the respect to turn away. Is it fair to other teams? No. Does it make the Giants and baseball a laughing stock to old school baseball players and fans? Yes.
From 2000  the team has been rampant with convicted and suspected steroid users (in a time before advanced testing was adopted), eg Santiago, Benitas, Bernard in addidtion to Bonds. One must wonder how many others had gone undetected.
The Giants rode their major League leading Drug reputation into the world series in 2002 after acquiring another convicted drug offender, Jose Guillen. After he came to the team, we saw a sudden spike of homeruns and hitting by the giants, with newly acquired Cody Ross hitting 8 homers in a short span and several in the playoffs. Then there were others with equally surprising numbers, like Jose uribe , Renteria and the aforementioned convicted Mota. Note the Latin connection, and most of the success happening after fellow Dominican Guillen joined the team in August. Guillen alone had several game winning hits, enough by himself to make up the one game margin the Giants needed to beat out San Diego IN the playoffs in 2010.
This year the trend contines with Mota and another Dominican, Joaquin Arias outhitting the league since the Allstar break. Arias, who had never hit a homerun in his prevous 2,000 at bats over five seasons has already hit three in the homer unfriendly San Francisco At&t Park. His 12 doubles are double the most he ever hit in a single season prior.
At an age when most players start slowing down, Angel Pagan   is having a career power year with 8 homers and 29 doubles thru 8/31, again, in theSan Franciso ballpark unfriendly to hitters. Pagan only once hit more homes in a year, in the smaller New York  Met's ball park.
Yet a third player, Gregor Blanco, has hit 5 homers this year in 111 games for the giants which is more than the three he hit  his previous three years and 250 at bats in the big leaques, combined, again, playing in the large ballpark, unfriendly for hitting homers.
It's all very reminiscent of the 2010 team that featured the aforementioned number of Latin players who mysteriously became power hitters with the giants in the large ballpark.'
The Giants are basically thumbing their nose at major league baseball with their 'win-at-any-cost' attitude; they already have two of the five convicted drug users in 2012 in Moto and Melky Cabrera and may well have more who have gone undetected. And, so what if they lose a player like Cabrera.. They got a lot of victories out of his tainted player - at a reducedcost- that could well propel them into the playoffs again.
Sabean as long overlooked the team's drug use, but now even usually cerebral manager Bruce Bochy dismissed any problem with bringing back Mota, saying that the Giants, unlike other teams, are more concerned with a player's well-being and that they should be given another chance, in this case a third. GM Brian Sabean is even more obvious, saying that it's up to major league baseball ot police the players. Now, if Mota performs well one can assume he's still on 'cough medicine.' If he is off the performance enhancing drugs  now, what's the point of having him around. No doubt the Giants hope he's still using PEDs -- at keast long enough to help get them in the playoffs. Let him get ' detected later.
And another recent acquisition, Hunter Pence , has been rumoured to be on and perhaps now off PEDs, based on his recent decline. The Giants may lose on this one unless  Pence decides to risk going back on the drug. In any case it's a win-win propositon for the giants. They can't lose. Get a guy cheap and hope he gets away with it long enough to help propel the team...
So there you you go... The San Franicso Giant's Win-At-Any-Cost attitude. It'a affecting the pennant races, favoring the Giants by far yet only Arizona manager Kirk Gibson has brought up the discrepancy... Bud Selig where are you again? Where Have You Gone Joe DiMaggio? Baseball has become more like westling or roller derby today - an exhibition rather than a true measure of players' talents. Sadly , the ones who are playing it honest, which is still the majority are playing an an unfair field, being affected adversely by the cheaters.her prices for untained ones.  Mota, Testosterone, San Francisco Giants - Sabean Makes More Excuses
